No plans to list Mukta A2 Cinemas; will add 30 screens by end of FY18: Mukta Arts
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Rahul Puri, MD of Mukta Arts spoke about the latest happenings in his company.
We operate 51 screens under the banner Mukta A2 Cinemas, said Puri.
Looking to add another 30 screens by the end of FY18, he added.
"Averagely the cost of our screens comes to somewhere between Rs 75 lakh and Rs 1 crore a screen. Most of screens that we will be setting up, will be done in that range," he said.
Speaking about listing cinema business, he said the company is not looking to do that at the moment.
We are looking to build scale in the cinema business. When the business gets to about 120-150 screens in the coming year, we would then look at all sorts of options in terms of creating value, said Puri.
"Whistling Woods - we could expect around Rs 38 crore of revenue that would come in for the education business. We just took in our largest ever batch in July which takes the student number at the campus to almost 1000 now," he added.
